From the UK to
Santiago de Compostela - approx drive time 1hr 20 mins
Oporto (Portugal) - approx drive time 2hr 30 mins
Valladolid - approx drive time 3 hrs
It is also possible to take trains (day or overnight sleeper) from Madrid or Barcelona to Orense which is just a 30 min drive from Vilar. Car hire is available at Orense train station (see below)

By Sea
Portsmouth to Bilbao - approx drive time 6 or 7 hrs
Plymouth to Santander - approx drive time 6 or 7 hrs
Portsmouth to Cherbourg - approx drive time 15 hrs

By Car
Car Hire is avilable from all of the airports and also from Orense train station. We recommend you book your car hire at the same time as your international travel.

By Train
There are train links from Orense and Monforte De Lemos to Vigo, Oporto (Portugal), La Coruna, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao, Madrid and Barcelona. Trains can be booked at www.renfe.es (please follow the instructions on the english version of the website)
